As a representative of the Tampa Bay MPI Chapter, I had the opportunity to work with Laura Benjamin as our Platinum Speaker* for our October 2003 Meeting. Her presentation of "Marketing Yourself in a Down Economy" was poignant and well executed. She was a delight to communicate, plan and work with during thepreparation of this meeting clear through to the very end. Laura is not only very talented, but she prides herself on extensive preparation inclusive of current applications and examples, all of which showed in the success of her program.
It is important to note that speaking in front of large groups can be challenging, but speaking in front of an organization that hires speakers as part of their career is even more intimidating. Ms. Benjamin approached our chapter with poise, intellect, sincerity and respect.
Not only is an audience of this caliber intense, but they also have a tendency to be very critical upon evaluating each program. As a result of Laura's exceptional presentation, her evaluations were proof of her success. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being best), 46.3% of our group gave her a rating of "4" and 40% gave her a rating of "5". MPI Rocky Mountain Chapter
Laura Benjamin was the featured speaker at our monthly meeting at the Sheraton in Colorado Springs. Our main goal for our education programs at Meeting Professionals International/Rocky Mountain Chapter is to invite speakers with information on current industry trends, changes, and updates in technology as well as professional development. Laura's program in May exceeded our expectations.
The timeliness of her topic was excellent and pertained to everyone in the room, whether they were in a corporate, association, supplier or independent business environment. At one point during the program, Laura asked if she had a little extra time. My answer was "keep going, we're all enthralled!" With busy schedules demanding our time, we usually have a few people leaving early. However, this was not the case for Laura's program. Everyone wanted to hear what she had to say, from beginning to end.
I would highly recommend Laura Benjamin as a speaker in any industry. She's extremely enthusiastic and professional with a warm smile for everyone!
